Specialty Care

Beyond general psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services, Dairyland Medical Partners maintains focused clinical capacity in several areas that require more than generalist training to address well. These specialty programs bring together psychiatrists and therapists who have concentrated their professional development in a particular domain, allowing the practice to offer genuinely informed care for presentations that benefit from depth rather than breadth. Patients referred into a specialty program remain connected to the broader integrated practice and do not sacrifice clinical continuity in exchange for specialization.

Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy at this practice is provided by licensed clinicians whose training spans evidence-based modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, acceptance and commitment therapy, and behavioral activation, among others. The selection of a therapeutic approach is made collaboratively with each patient after an initial assessment that considers both the clinical presentation and the patient's preferences and prior treatment history. Sessions are not time-compressed, and the therapeutic relationship is regarded as an active clinical instrument.

Telehealth

Secure video appointments are available for established patients and, where clinically appropriate, for initial evaluations, delivered through a HIPAA-compliant platform accessible from any private location in Wisconsin with a reliable internet connection. Telehealth at this practice carries the same clinical expectations as in-person care: adequate session time, documentation held to the same standard, and continuity with the same clinician. Patients who prefer in-person appointments are never required to transition to video, and the option to return to the office is always available.

Couples & Family Care

Relational and family work at Dairyland Medical Partners is conducted by clinicians with specific training in systemic and interactional frameworks, not generalists pressed into service because the schedule required it. Couples and family sessions attend to communication patterns, relational history, and the ways individual mental-health presentations can both shape and be shaped by close relationships. The goal of this work is a clearer, more functional relational system — outcomes that take time and honest engagement to achieve.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Dairyland Medical Partners begins with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation conducted by a board-certified psychiatrist — an appointment structured to gather the full psychiatric, medical, and social history required to form a defensible clinical impression. Medication management, when indicated, proceeds from that foundation and is revisited at each subsequent visit with attention to efficacy, tolerability, and the patient's own reported experience. Psychiatrists here regard themselves as clinicians first, not prescribers, and the distinction shows in how appointments are conducted.

About the practice

Dairyland Medical Partners

Sound behavioral-health care is not a product to be expedited. At Dairyland Medical Partners, each appointment is structured to give the clinician sufficient time to think and the patient sufficient time to be heard, because careful assessment and meaningful treatment depend on both.

Our clinical team is composed of board-certified psychiatrists and independently licensed therapists (psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors). We deliver care both in person and through secure telehealth, and we work with most major commercial insurance plans.

Common questions

Frequently asked

How long does it typically take to schedule a first appointment at Dairyland Medical Partners?
New patient intake availability varies by service type and clinician. Psychiatric evaluations and specialty consultations typically carry a longer lead time than initial psychotherapy appointments because of the nature of scheduling constraints in those disciplines. We encourage prospective patients to contact the practice directly for a current sense of availability, and we maintain a cancellation list for patients whose clinical situation warrants an earlier appointment.
Are telehealth appointments available for all services, or only for certain types of care?
Secure video appointments are available for individual psychotherapy, medication management follow-ups, and most established-patient consultations. Certain initial psychiatric evaluations and relational or family sessions may be conducted via telehealth where the clinical circumstances support it; the treating clinician makes that determination in consultation with the patient. All telehealth services are available only to patients physically located in Wisconsin at the time of the appointment, in accordance with state licensure requirements.
What credentials do clinicians at this practice hold, and are they licensed in Wisconsin?
All clinicians practicing at Dairyland Medical Partners hold active licenses in Wisconsin and meet or exceed the credentialing standards applicable to their discipline. Psychiatrists are board-certified or board-eligible through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; psychotherapists hold licensure at the advanced practice level in their respective fields, including LCSW, LPC, and licensed psychologist designations as applicable. Credential documentation is available upon request.
